On the Thursday after Christmas, we went to Philadelphia to see the Macy's Christmas Light Show. The display has been a Philadelphia tradition since 1955 when it was started by the Wanamaker department store. When Macy's occupied the Wanamaker building, they began a series of renovations that improved the show while maintaining its 1950s appearance.
While we were there, we ate lunch in the Reading Terminal Market, a renovated train station that holds approximately 5 billion food places, all claiming to be the best in Philadelphia. We also wandered around the city hall building a bit.
