images of our life
An art exhibition “Vermeer and the Dutch Masters of Genre” don’t happen often and it was rapidly approaching its final day at the National Gallery, so we headed down to DC on a remarkably warm day to enjoy the 10 Vermeers and almost 60 other paintings by Dutch masters. Five of the Vermeers we had never seen before. We enjoyed the art in spite of the heavier than normal attendance and had fun in the museum cafe with our cheese tray that included Dutch gouda, Danish blue cheese, and Cara’s favorite goat cheese. And to go along with our Dutch theme, I had a Heineken.
