We experienced a stunning performance by the National Symphony and violinist Lisa Batiashvili. Unfortunately, it is likely to be our last, at least for a while.

The Shostakovich symphony was an awe inspiring, almost overpowering, experience.

Our brunch at the Liberty Tavern. When I asked our server to take a photo for us, she went beyond the usual posing us for these pictures. Then, in a first for us, three young women at the table behind us, paid for our meal and told us they wanted to be just like us. Lots of fun.

Northside Social, where we got our coffee and snack for the trip home. Just like we did on our many, many trips to DC over the years. Still has great coffee and wonderful cookies.
